For everyday cleaning of your melamine products, use your dishwasher.
Giving your dirty melamine board a quick preliminary wipe would be best to remove any excess food or leftovers. Always avoid letting it dry out.
The melamine products develop stains in that foods and sauces are left to dry on the product. That is why foods like blackberries and tomato sauces have been given a bad rap and are commonly blamed for staining dinnerware. However, simple care procedures will help prevent staining.
To do this:
Use a mild dish soap with a warm water mixture to gently wipe with a soft wet cloth.
Wipe the board in a circular motion using a mixed dampened sponge or washcloth.
Rinse the melamine product with clean water and dry it with a towel.

Bleach can remove the finish on your melamine product and cause harsh white stains and damage.
Steel wool/ brillo pads are too abrasive and will remove the finish of the melamine products.
Serrated/ steak knives or similar types of utensils can cause scratches on melamine and ruin the glossy smooth finish of the product.
Melamine is not safe to use in microwaves or ovens because the extreme heat can dry out the material of the products.
